    Evening –

I’ve been creating a ‘particles to logo’ effect, using Particular. It has about 8 custom textures, which fly in, and create a very simple (two parentheses) logo, which slowly cross fades with a PNG. A logo reveal.

My question is, https://vimeo.com/48846655, here at 53 seconds onwards you’ll see a similar effect. However, their icons never touch or overlap and this is the cleaner look I’m trying to achieve.

Do you think this was done in Particular? Manually, or another plugin entirely? Maybe Form?

    Thank you,
    Henry

Definitely possible in Particular. Try using a Layer Grid Emitter. One of the keys here is that the animation will need to play forwards a ways and then backwards in order to show the particles coming together. I usually like to do this by animating the Physics Time Factor from 1 to -1 at the point I want the particles to reverse time.

Thank you – wasn’t aware of that feature – always finding new switches…

Looks spot on now. Thanks again.
