    Hi everybody,
I am using a Macpro, and have installed CS 5.5 into it. Problem is that whatever footage I dump on its timeline, its not playing it more than few seconds. I have tried it with different timeline settings, different footage formats, but nothing works. Also I have Blackmagic 3d extreme card in that machine, its giving me audio output, video is missing, I tried with settings, but not getting the option of blackmagic as if its not sensing the card for video.
I have Final cut pro ver:7.0.3(which is working fine) also in that machine, is that creating the problem? can we use both the softwares with one at a time basis with proper audio video output through blackmagic card?

I’m not sure why you’re having playback problems, what codec are you trying to play and what kind of graphics card do you have? Try the make sequence from clip command and see if that helps.

You need to install the Blackmagic Desktop software to play back through your card. I don’t have the link but you can find it on their website. This will give you Blackmagic sequences to play through your card (which is a hassle IMO).

Unfortunately in my experience playback with the BM card is rather poor, I’m working with a 2010 Mac Pro and NVIDIA Quardro 4000 and have lots of issues when using the BM card, I’m curious to know how it works for you.

    Cheers,

    Gerry
