I’m trying to export a sequence as an OMF but don’t get the option for OMF (or AAF) under the export dialogue dropdown list. I’m using Avid MC 5.0.3. Is there some codec that I need?

It’s there…you just aren’t looking in the right place. Gah, of all days NOT to be in front of my Avid…Well, I have it on my laptop, but I needed to deauthorize the tower first…

You have to export AAF in the FILE>Export menu as a choice in the dropdown in the export dialogue that pops up. See that menu option? It’s a dropdown menu.

Ok, got it. One other question. I want to sent a timeline over to an external but instead of just handles, I want the person who’ll be receiving the project to have access to the entire clip if they need it. In other words, If a clip in one minute long, and my cut is 10 seconds, if the other editor were to do a match frame of Find in Bin, I’d like him to have access to the entire one minute. I’ve tried Copy All Media but I don’t see any MXF files in the Avid MediaFiles folder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
