  • Posted by Harald on April 19, 2005 at 5:53 pm

    hi,
I cant export mpeg1 from my timeline, there’s just the possibility to choose mpeg2 + mpeg4.
does anybody know to get set it to mpeg1?
in compressor or quicktime-pro there’s also just mpeg2+4.

    my system:
    fcp411
    compressor 121
    dual g4 1.25
    mac os10.3.4

    regards,
    walter

With the latest version of Compressor 1.x for Final Cut Pro HD 4.5 you get MPEG1 encoding.

    FCP > Export QuickTime > Compressor > Encode MPEG1 > Done.

i already have the latest version of compressor (1.2.1)….
i also already had the option for mpeg1 encoding, but somehow it disappeared.

You can use ffmpegx, which is a free download and renders quick…

    hey david,
    thanks for the link!
but for me, in this case, it would be much better if i could export directly from my fcp–timeline to mpeg1.
how did the mpeg1 encoder disappear from my computer??? i know it worked.
