no kona LH preset for 720p 29.97?
Hello and happy 5 may!
I have a bunch of footage, 720P @ 29.97, shot on P2, and when i bring it into FCP 5.1.4 i have to reset my sequence time to 29.97 to get real time playback.
the easy setup defaults to 59.94 which does not let my footage play in reatime.
I have created a preset where sequence settings are 29.97, but is this right? is this cuz i am still using 5? should there not be a kona lh easy setup for 720p 29.97? and can i really save money on my car insurance by switching to geico?

Hi Bob,
I think there is no 720p30 tape-based system, so no much need to make a capture preset for an inexistent format (?).
If your footage is p29,97 your sequence must be the same.
In FC6 there is a Sequence Preset for Proress 720p30 (29’97).

This is not poisoned information. 720p is a 60 frame format. 1080i is a 30 frame format. If you want to work with 720p in a 30 frame format, you need to make a custom preset.
