I’m fairly new to Adobe After Effects, and I’m working on a video with a green screen, but when I follow the tutorials on how to key out the green screen (I’ve tried both versions 6.5 and 7.0) they say to go to effects, keying, and then keylighting (Or something of the sort) However, I have no such option called ‘keylighting’. Am I missing something?

    Thanks

For AE 7.0 Keylight is a plug-in that has to be installed separately. If you just installed AE, you won’t get Keylight. Keylight can be installed from the same installation CD as AE.

What if I just downloaded a Demo version? Am I unable to install such a feature so that I must buy the product to get it?

Yes, you can download a demo version from the foundry’s website (foundry.co.uk). Any keying you do with the demo version will leave a watermark on the footage.
