No HD playback in MC 4.05
Downloaded MC demo to see if I should upgrade. Trying to play back 720p footage in Media Composer. Picture freezes, audio plays. Checked to make sure the S/R monitors were completely on screen. Using recommended QT and Nvidia driver versions. System is as follows.
Dell Precision 670 3.6 Ghz single processor
4 gigs Ram
2 500 gig 7200rpm seagate drives
Quadro FX 1400
Presonus FireboxAlso getting the dreaded fillthread error and some access violations. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you able to play back that footage on your computer with something like VLC player or QT?
If this is uncompressed HD, you won’t likely be able to play that back from your drives, you’d need a pretty fast RAID config for that. -
Got it. I can play 720p QTs without too much trouble but you may be right about the drives. Since I posted I’ve just decided to transcode the clips to NTSC which plays fine. I am able to cut a sequence and link the clips back to the original HD and export to MP4 for use on the web.
