    I have a Blackmagic HD card on a 2.5 dual G5, running OS X 10.4.10 and Decklink 5.9.2 drivers.

I am trying to digitize some footage with Blackmagic Deck Control.
I am unable to get video input through my firewire though.
I have Prefs set with Serial Port: FireWire DV 29.97 and Capture Settings Video Input: Blackmagic NTSC/PAL

I can actually control my camera with the Stop and Play buttons in Deck Control, but no video signal is coming in.

**I am having the same problem when I try to digitize from Final Cut Pro. It says it is missing the Apple FireWire NTSC (720×480). I trashed the prefs, but it still can’t see the FireWire.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

[APlacas] “I have Prefs set with Serial Port: FireWire DV 29.97 and Capture Settings Video Input: Blackmagic NTSC/PAL”

This sets up the application to capture via the Blackmagic card and control your deck/camera via firewire.

If you are trying to capture via firewire in Final Cut Pro, you’ll need to use the “NTSC – DV” setup instead of the “Blackmagic NTSC – DV” setup. The former captures via firewire while the latter captures via the Blackmagic card and transcodes in real time to the DV codec.

That is the setting I selected.
Under A/V devices, however, it says [Missing] Apple FireWire NTSC (720×480)

    This used to work.

I forgot to add that I AM able to digitize via FireWire with iMovieHD. However, this is not the application that I wish to use.
Any ideas on what settings are wrong? Or how to fix this “missing” apple DV setting?

    thanks..
