No Dolly? No Problem!
Found this video with a pretty simple, but very effective idea ..if you dont have a dolly and need a dolly type shot….

Can’t quite tell what tripod it is though? ..I’m sure it doesnt matter that much ..but still just curious

Terrific idea for very short “dolly” moves. Of course, you are forced to move in an arc, but sometimes that’s a good thing. As for the tripod, what matters is that it have a good, smooth head.

Great solution for no budget, minimal equipment shoots. I could see doing that in an office to open a scene. Now how can we modify that for side to side motion?

Obviously the secret is having some foreground to pass by or through.
You good take it a step further and zoom while you do the move.
