Activity Forums Cinematography No Dolly? No Problem!

    Terrific idea for very short “dolly” moves. Of course, you are forced to move in an arc, but sometimes that’s a good thing. As for the tripod, what matters is that it have a good, smooth head.

    Great solution for no budget, minimal equipment shoots. I could see doing that in an office to open a scene. Now how can we modify that for side to side motion?

    Obviously the secret is having some foreground to pass by or through.
    You good take it a step further and zoom while you do the move.
