November 13, 2006 at 4:43 pmMust be not enough or no tail on the outgoing clip or not enough or not lead on the incoming clip. That’s the only way transitions don’t work in FCP.

November 13, 2006 at 7:52 pm[Johan Moeskops] “I have DVCPro HD 720P 50 footage.
I have only 720P25 in FCP, so I have to render all the clips. Will you give me the proper workflow please, for the video- and sequence settings.”
My guess would be to make a Sequence Preset and change the frame rate to 50, though I have not checked to see if you can do that. Havne’t worked with 720p/50 here so I honestly haven’t tried anything in that workflow. 1080i/50 yes, that’s what we’re doing right now, though the actual playback is 25fps so we’re using the AJA Kona 3 1080i/25 preset.

The dissolve question, as Walter said, is probably related to not having enough handles for your media.
All the best,
Tom
