Hi, I know this issue must have been covered before but I could not find any relevant info in my search.

Just trying to play some audio in AE. It’s no an mp3. I’ve tried both WAV and AIFF. I’m not trying to play the video at the same time or anything. It won’t play when I hit the period key or just double click the audio file and try to play it there.

    Any ideas?

Hmmmmmm…I do have audio (i.e. waveform) I can hear it when scrubbing. I cannot hear hit it when playing even after it has stored it into the cache. I can not hit it by hitting the period key. I think the period key somehow got reassigned. It’s seems to have the zoom function assigned to it.

    Weird.

Okay, I don’t know what’s up with my period key at the moment but RAM preview will do for now.

as dave mentioned, make sure it’s the period (decimal point) on the numeric keypad to the right, not the punctuation period on main keypad, on mac at least.

    NumLock on?
On a laptop, and need to hit Fn key simultaneously?
