  No Audio while capturing

  Hello,

  I am having an issue that I’m sure many have had.
  I am trying to Log and Capture a Betacam SX tape. I am using a Sony HDW-M2000 Deck connected through HD/SDI to AJA IoHD. I am also using FCP 7 on Mac OSX 10.5.8.

  If I hook the deck up to a preview monitor directly, I see picture and hear audio. When I go through the AJA and into FCP, I can get picture but no sound. I realize that the preview audio is turned off however the captured clip also has no audio. If I check the clip settings and select the scopes, I can see the waveforms. I have my capture preset set to AJA IoHD: 29.97 Sony VTR and Capture Preset set to AJA IoHD: 1080i 29.97 ProRes 422 with the Audio set to AJA IoHD 48 Khz. Like I said, I can control the deck and see the picture fine.

  Anyone know why I the audio is not being captured? I have Audio checked in the clip settings. Any help would be great. Thanks,
