    No audio when using Roll tool on FCP 7

    Hi,

    Hopefully someone can help me out with this one. I’ve edited on an AVID for 15 years, and I’m trying to cut a show on FCP. Rocky Transition.

    Anyways, I’m trying to use the roll tool to trim up the timeline, but I’m not able to hear audio when trimming, making it difficult to trim interviews.

    I had a seasoned editor give me a quick tutorial, and he said that he has audio when he uses the roll tool on his system, so it’s likely a setting somewhere… I’ve looked and can’t find anything that seems to work.

    I have audio on playback, and when I scrub the timeline.

    Any ideas?

    I don’t get any audio either. Maybe this is how it is.
