I have a vx-2100 and vegas…When montoring my clip to my camera and then to my tv I get picture but no sound. I know its not my camera to tv connections because i can play a tape in my camera and i get picture and sound. I have camera in vcr mode. I have the A/V DV OUT selected to off and get the picture but no sound….I have the volume turned up on my camera. Does anyone have any ideas why i’m not getting sound? I don’t have another firewire cable to check if that’s bad. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks Gary

Audio does not go over firewire during preview. You get your audio through your computer’s speakers.

You would have to do a “print to tape” for the audio to be there…or use adaptors to connect your soundcard on the computer to the VTR.

Print to Tape does send the audio over firewire so the camera should be receiving audio at that time.
