no audio or video headers found – broken file. Can the file be fixed?
I have caputered direct from camera to my harddisk capturing 6,5 hour of video, with final cut 5.1. I also connected a soundcard with 6 channels of sound. I then recorded a scene directly into the harddrive.Unable to change tapes, this was my only option.
Using the Capture now, I pressed ESC after the 6,5 hour and a litle rainbowball turned up on my screen. After waiting I rebooted the mac. The file is on my disk – 105 GB. Name: “Untiltel4 – av”
And when I play the file in different programs it says that:
“no audio or video headers found – broken file”
Can I fix this and retrive the file.

Hi martin,
There is an small application call “File Juicer” that may can help you. It extract the information from corrupted files and so. I’ve used with stills (the tipical .jpeg that get corrupted) and worked great. Just drop the file on top of the application and Filejuicer put everything that can starct in a folder.
