We are a new station that has just recently gone on the air. We are a terrestrial over the air broadcast station and we are not on cable. We are getting feedback from viewers that have older SD TVs and an over the air HD antenna converter box. that they can see our video but are not getting our audio. They say they are getting audio just fine from other local stations. I am trying to determine what the issue is and how I can fix it.
We were broadcasting PCM audio so I figured that was the problem. We upgraded to Dolby AC-3 audio but the audio is still not coming across on the over the air HD antenna converter boxes. The LCD TVs we have here at the station pick up both audio and video just fine. It seems to be the HD converter boxes don’t like something about our signal.

    Any ideas?

Are you sure that your main audio isn’t somehow tied into your SAP audio at the transmitter?
