  No audio on Canon ZR40

  I have a Canon ZR40 Mini DV camcorder, and when I play back all of my old tapes, none of the audio comes out. Everything is set normally, and when i record something new on the same tape, audio works fine. The strange thing is it happens with every single one of my tapes, so it has to be something with the camera. Does anyone know why this is, or how to fix it? Any help is appreciated.
