    Hello,

So I have some footage which was shot on Sony EX3. The footage was ingested into a macbook through XDcam Transfer software. So ended up with .mov files.

I am now trying to use these files on a WINDOWS machine using PP CS6 and they are not importing at all ( a Codec error message comes up).

So having read a few forums, I’ve changed the extension from .mov to .mpg. Now the video clips are importing to Premier Pro but there is no audio. No audio tracks are even showing. Tried changing extension to .avi and the same happens. Video clips are showing with no audio track.

Please can someone help as this is driving me crazy.

    Thanks in advance.

Load one of the clips into After Effects and see if the audio shows up in there. If it does you can export the audio and re-link it in PPro.

See if you can load the original files into Media Encoder and export the audio there.

    Tons of things to try.
