No audio during RAM Preview
Hi Everybody
No audio during RAM Preview in CS6. Will preview audio alone but not simultaneously with composition video. Either Video or Audio will play but not both at the same time.
Using internal speakers on this first run of trial software.
All other apps that use audio are playing.Thanks

How are you previewing audio alone? hitting “,”?
Have you checked if the “mute audio” button ain’t pressed on your preview tab?

No mute. Tried both on and off.

no solo switches on? Have you tried different audio files? Restarted machine?
can you post a screenshot…I’m just trying to narrow it down.

Yeah, tried a couple different clips. Waveform shows up. Will repair the permissions and restart.

Still no audio, here’s the screen shot. The upload file says file type not supported. Used grab for screenshot

check composition>preview and make sure that ‘audio’ has a check mark next to it. if not, select it to activate audio for previews.

h.264, (Canon 5d mkII) Has always worked before. Audio is checked in the Comp preview

It’s a screen shot, I used Grab (Mac) to capture it.

Still no audio in AE CS6 on RAM Preview. Thank you for your time and input.gary

Your post just helped me out – thank you! Yes, audio has to be selected with a check mark next to it. Sheesh! Usually it is by default.
