I’m a bit confused. I was told by TS that I wanted to capture using component video and the breakout cable. I hooked up the cables as instructed. But when I go to the Decklink control panel, there are only Y, R-Y, B-Y and AES/EBU or Y, R-Y, B-Y and Analog XLR. Since the breakout cable with RCA jacks is the one for component video, and my audio source is analog, how do I do the capture? Or am I just missing something?

    Hi Jeffrey,

In the Decklink Control Panel, the ‘Y, R-Y, B-Y and Analog XLR’ is the option you require for component and analog audio, whether you are using the BNC or RCA breakout cables. This is because the pins on both breakout cable connectors are essentially the same. Both cables are provided so that you can connect to virtually anything you might need to.

    Ah. That’s got it working.

    Thanks very much, Chris.
