no apple/z shortcut
The weirdest thing happened in the sequence…we cannot apple-z in the sequence. If we open a new sequence, we can, but in the one we are working with, we have lost apple-z function. How can this happen. FCP 5, dual 2.7, OS 10.4, XSAN 1.5.

Sounds like a corrupt sequence. Copy all your footage on that sequence onto a new one and save.
