no ama link
got footage that was taken with sony xdcam – mp4 files
using avid mc5.5
when trying to ama link to the files, getting an error: mp4 not supported.i’ve downloded some sony xdcam plugins & although they ara recognised in the console, still no ama link.
after some research i did, it appears that mc5.5 come with no xdcam plugins & the plugins that works with the 5.0 v doesnt match the 5.5v
is it possible that avid media composer cant ama link to xdcam fotage???????
or does any one know were i can get a right plugin?
tried to download an hdcam plugin from sony’s website in some kind of hope that it will solve the problem but this specific one cant be download unless u are within the u.sany help will be nice

Sony obviously has their plug-ins – you should have those.
Media Composer 5.5 utilizes AMA plugins from avid.com instead of the pre-bundled ones in MC 5.0.x.

Look on the right side of the page and there are workflow docs for various formats, including XDCAM.
