No Align track button in Mocha AE CS6 Need h elp ASAP
Posted by Cole Skory on October 30, 2013 at 7:48 pmThere is no align surface button for me in Mocha ae CS6 version 2.6.2. I follow all the other tracking steps and when I paste the tracking info to the correct layer it always get skewed and looks really weird. I can only assume its from not aligning the surface. Please help ASAP

October 31, 2013 at 2:39 amMatthew and Ross have answered your Q BUT I would like to suggest, humbly, that perhaps your issue is with the tracking result and/or user-error. Do provide screencaps if your issue is not resolved.
Further, AFAIK, you only really need to use the Align Surface feature if your insert layer has been designed or created with the exact perspective, to fit into the background plate.
Lastly, ensure that you always make a duplicate of the layer that you wish to apply the Align Surface feature as there is no way back to the original, un-aligned layer.

October 31, 2013 at 4:18 pmYou can find the Align Surface button in the documentation:
https://www.imagineersystems.com/support/Documentation/interface-overview#idp290896If you do not have a Layers Control displayed, go to View>Layers Controls. There is an icon on the bottom for Align Surface next to the trash/delete icon.

October 31, 2013 at 7:01 pmOk sorry ross. One more problem for you. When I press align surface and paste the tracking data I get this error message “After Effects error: Transform cannot allocate a buffer larger than 30000 pixels in either dimension. (516)

October 31, 2013 at 7:14 pmI have seen this a long time ago and it relates to AE corner pin being too far out of range.
Are you sure your tracking looks proper in mocha?
What export are you choosing? (AE with motion bur or standard corner pin?)You could also look into using mochaImport script from AE scipts.
Beyond this, I would need to look at the project to trouble shoot.
