no 720p support on HDE?
trying to go in 720p HD-SDI … there is no 1080i option from the camera im using, and media 100 HDe will only downconvert to NTSC a 720p source. wow. did not see that one coming. i took the HDX system for granted. when they said no upconversion i thought 720 to 1080 didnt count…. will the only solution to this for HDe users will be the future ability to acquire 720 media? meanwhile, i need to figure out a way to get his media acquired on this HDE system.

i found a way to do a 1080i upconvert out of the camera… so all’s good for me. but i guess i always have to keep in mind the drawback of no upconverting on this HDe system.

I think the upconversion and cross conversion is with the HD Suite only. Must be a software deal because the cards are the same. I think.

The HDe and HD Suite cards are different (Kona LHe and Kona 3). The Kona 3 supports cross-conversion (720<->1080) as well as the HDx card, but the LHe does not.
