Couldn’t agree more. Whenever someone is hyping a Podcast I ask them “but where are the pictures?”

The real innovation for audio is happening in the podcast space. I would encourage folks to dive in because there’s a wealth of fantastic programming to be enjoyed like Jad Abumrad and Shima Oliaee’s epic nine part series “Dolly Parton’s America” which won a Peabody award.

And Herb, sometimes audio storytelling is more rewarding than video storytelling because your mind creates it’s own pictures to go along with the story.

An update to the Podcast omission of transcripts. It looks like the New York Times is now offering transcripts with each podcast release as can be seen on today’s The Daily podcast. Hopefully other podcast outlets will follow suit.
