I am looking into getting a Nitris DX and was looking at the spec and notice a Serial RS422 port on the back.
Does anyone know if this is there for machine control or some other reason.
I will be connecting it to a mac and this would save a whole lot of time instead of going via a USB converter.

If it is machine control is any one using it successfully?

    Thanks

unless something just changed, when you get a NEW AVID Nitris DX and the cable kit, you get the Keyspan USA-19x USB to RS-232 adaptor, and you also get the Addenda RS 2/8 RS232-RS422 converter. If there is something “built it” – it’s news to me !

I think it is a service port. It isn’t RS422 for deck remote at this point in time at least.

The Keyspan 19HS like Bob states comes with it when you plop down the $$$ for the Nitris DX.
