Nikon lens on Canon EOS 60D – exposure?
New to the Canon 60D, and VERY new to trying to put my old Nikkor lenses on the camera.
In movie mode, using either the Fotodiox Pro or the Novoflex adapter to put Nikkor lenses on the Canon 60D, I am having exposure issues in Movie Mode (though manual exposure in still mode seems to work fine).
The exposure scale seems very far off and somewhat erratic. I have determined the correct exposure for 1/30th second in manual mode, but when I switch to Movie Mode, the camera seems to want extreme overexposure.
The only relevant post on this subject which I have found says that I should cover with cellotape the metal part of the adapter which might hit the Canon camera’s contacts. I’d rather not do that until I’ve eliminated other avenues.
If anyone is using Nikon lenses on the 60D and metering with success, please let me know. It is also very possible that I am not understanding something very obvious and basic!
Thanks.
Bob C
