How long and wide can I go?

I’m don’t think there is a problem going with anything wider, if the image overs the groundglass you should be in business. -

I think the 20mm might have some distortion (which can be cool) but what would be the preferred size if there was one choice.Is it best to get a lens for the letus? or a screw on adapter directly to the EX1 lens?The 300 mm would also be useful for me.
Any thoughts on Nikon Sigma.
