April 13, 2013 at 6:46 pmIf you already have Nikon glass, get the Nikon. If you shoot Canon now, get the Canon. New firmware will be available shortly for the Canon to enable external recording and the Nikon records sharper images in the camera – though the Canon sharpens just fine in post – but other than that, no real difference.
Unless you’re planning on shooting a remake of Gone With The Wind to be shown on an IMAX screen – in which case, get an actual video-dedicated camera – you’ll be happy with either one. -

– Can shoot a single take as long as your battery/memory card lasts ( single 12 hour take is possible )
