  • NEX-VG30 1080 60P / Vegas 12 question

Anyone ever imported 1080 60P into Sony Vegas 12?

I’ll be shooting on a Sony NEX-VG30 this weekend and want to know ahead of time if AVCHD 1080 60P would be a problem.

    Thanks,

    Larry Brewer

Not a problem. However, you do need to make and use a custom template.

Thanks Mike. I’ll try that template and import some clips later today.
Have you actually used the VG-30 or other NEX Sony camera? This will be my first outing with the camera and I have high expectations.

No Larry, I have a Panasonic TM900 that shoots in 1080/60p. VP12 12 sees the camera as a drive. I can either import the footage from the camera’s drive or card to VP12 or download the files directly to my eSata or external drive. I can then use the explorer in VP12. Most of the time I drag files directly to the timeline from an open drive. It is easier for me to see more of the content than what the explorer window in VP12 provides.
