News Banner Text?
Hi, I’m using Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum. Windows Movie Maker has a text effect called “News Banner” which basically overlays a video with a solid color bar with drop shadow in the lower left portion of the screen and static text in the bar. It takes 10 seconds to do in MM but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to do this in Vegas.

Yes that’s exactly it… thank you. I was trying to use the Event Pan/Crop instead of the Track Motion. It’s still not quite as simple as Windows Movie Maker but it is still easy and actually gives more control than MM (MM can only handle text of a certain length with the News Banner).
One other thing, I tried to cut a text event from one project and paste it into another but it didn’t work (nothing happens). Is this possible?

As long as both projects are open at the same time, yes it is.
Copy (Ctrl+C) the event from project #1 and paste (Ctrl+V) it into project #2.
