I have NewBlue MSPP 3D transitions and effects and also NewBlue Cartoonr from the Vegas 9 Platinum Pro Pack. When I upgraded to Vegas Pro, I was able to install this pack without difficulty for the 32-bit version. There was a NewBlue folder which was created in the X86 folder. I recently installed the 64-bit version of Vegas Pro 9.0d. I tried to install NewBlue MSPP in order to work with the 64-bit version but have had no success. When I put in the disk and entered the product key, it defaults to the X86 folder. I tried changing the destination folder. I can see the NewBlue folder in the program files folder, however, no effects or transitions are available in the 64-bit version. I would be thankful if someone could tell me how to get these plug-ins and effects to install and work for the 64-bit program.

You should probably ask NewBlueFX for help but either one of two things are happening:

    (1) Since you bought the FX as part of Movie Studio which is 32-bit only, you only have a license to use them with 32-bit programs (or they only created a 32-bit version of that FX combination).

    (2) You need to download the 64-bit version of the installer from NewBlue (not your original one which is 32-bit only) and use your license key with that.

One of those two should either solve your problem or confirm that it won’t work in 64-bit. The installers for the regular NewBlueFX plug-ins all have support for 64-bit so if yours doesn’t it may just be that the package created for Movie Studio is 32-bit only.

John is correct. Since Movie Studio is only 32-bit, the MSPP package is also only 32-bit. So the MSPP package will not work in the 64-bit version of Vegas.
