i had Encore on my system a few months back, did some upgrades, now on all the CC verisons…and Encore is not even downloadable now. i know some folks are moving away from hard copies for media distribution, but i need to make some DVDs!

i was an old FCP 7 user, and DVD-SP, but thought i should try Encore. well, it’s not on my system and i don’t see it in the cloud.

    is it downloadable anywhere?

should i just go back to DVD-SP?

    thanks…

thanks for helping out a bonehead!

    Ted,
if you´ve owned DVD SP, I would hardly recoment to use it, as it´s a solid proofed software. Encore is pain in the bud-software with a lot bugs and shortcomings, for example: scripting is not possible.

stay DVD SP and you´ll be happy.

    Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the reply. I’m guessing you meant, “heartily” instead of “hardly?” That’s what it sounded like from the rest of your post. Ya, that seems the best option right now, to just stick with DVD-SP…i just wish it could read the chapter markers put in on the Premiere timeline.

thanks for helping out a bonehead!

In answer to your original question, FWIW, the instructions for installing Encore are here:

    It’s not pretty.
