Hello everyone I have a few question about premiere pro. Let me give some back ground first. Yes I have been using FC studio for the past few years the reason I am switching to Premiere Is because I am about to purchase AVCHD camcorder and to you use FCP I would have upgrade my Mac and software and after looking at the work flow and plus you get Photoshop and Aftereffects plus I have a brand new dell PC using I7 processor and have windows vista 64bit on why not.
Anyway my question is should I use Premiere by itself or should I use the Matrox system that uses a I/O external unit? Is there any big advantage?

I may be in the minority, but I would not be without my Matrox Axio card that accompanies Premiere and CS4.

With my Matrox card, I get:
    – More realtime layers of video and grapics
    – Realtime mixed-format timelines
    – More effects in realtime, including color correction, keying, etc
    – Broadcast quality realtime 3D effects
    – and much much more

I cannot see cutting costs and going with PP without a Matrox card.
