Trying to create a simple ring around a globe. I used the disc object and created a disc, used the inner radius to make a ring. I make the object editable (C) and select an Extrude Nurbs. I drag the disc onto the Extrude Nurbs, but nothing happens when I exrude any of the Movement paramters … it stays flat. What am I missing?

    thanks,

The so-called “NURBS” objects only work with splines. Create a simple circle spline and choose the contour option, so it will create two circles instead of one. Then put it inside your extrude object.

Or, if you want to use polygons, select all of them and use the extrude command with the “caps” option checked. Or to save time, use the tube primitive.
