  • newbie question about capturing/small edit/DVD author

Hi, I’m a long time After Effects user. Only new to PPro. I’ve got about 90minutes of footage on a old digital Hi-8 camera I am about to digise in. I just need to add a couple small elements that were made in AE, then export to DVD.

My question is…..Is it bad to capture 90minutes in one go? or should I capture in smaller bits?

Secondly, do I encode from PPro or somehow export into Encore for encoding.

Any help or tips would be great. Thanks

If your computer is fast enough, there shouldn’t be a capturing 90 minutes is one shot. I prefer to break my clips into 2GB files using ScLive, but that is my preference. .

If you are not aware of the various encoding paramaters, I would let Encore transocde it automatically.
