Can anyone tell me how to do this?
I want to insert a graphic so that everything after that graphic (text and other graphics)moves down the page to accommodate it?
I’m using a simple one column text and graphics lay out.
I have only just started with InDesign and this is something I can’t find an answer to anywhere.

    Many thanks

You’re going to have to move the graphics yourself with the Selection tool(v) via Clicking and dragging.

if that isn’t what you’re looking for you might want to try Window> text wrap for the selected image. this will make the outer edge of the object solid without overlapping.
