So I am trying to make some VHS boxes in 3D and I have been given the artwork from the printer as eps files. I have turned them into RGB PSD files, and can import them into Cinema 4D and turn them into materials. I have also made my box… pretty simple!

Now, how do I wrap the material onto the box? Isn’t there a way to wrap it the same way it is “folded” when it is printed? in other words, I don’t want to break each side into a separate image map.

I know it can be done… I’m just too much of a newbie to know how.. and have wasted enough time fooling with settings.. so I’m calling in you pros to tell me how!

    Thanks
    -Rick

With bodypaint, this would be a snap… but you can also use a plugin called uvw to bmp that will flatten your mesh so you can map the image properly in photoshop.not positive if the plug works with current version of cinema, but the plug is free so it will cast nada for you to find out…
