NEWBIE NEEDS HELP WITH CHROMA KEYING
Hiya all. Let me explain my chroma frustrations. Having read a zillion articles on the internet about the pitfalls of green-screen keying, eg. uneven lighting, shadows, bleeding edges, etc, and not wanting to spend the national debt of Australia on boards, paints, sheets, cloths, portables, and more lighting than Las Vegas, I was wondering if there may be a ” cheating ” way around this.
Let’s assume I shoot some basic footage against a green sheet ( bedsheet ) which I hang up. Yes, I know it’s all very basic. I would shoot say, 5 seconds which is 125 frames ( PAL in Australia ).My question – is there some way to click the eye-dropper on my ( oh-so-bad )
green backround, and then somehow, choosing a nice green color from a palette,
and filling in ( painting ) the background, to arrive at a nice green ??????
Yes, it may sound laborious if it can be done.If anyone knows if painting backgrounds can be done, I would be be very appreciative.
Regards to you all.
Georgie from Australia.
