I’ve done some searching on this forum but can’t quite find the answer to my query.

I have a load of old footage from my PC days which is m2v with 2 associated wav files. This was an import directly from camera in a PC package called Studio Plus.

Rather than re-import the video again using FCP I wanted to use these m2v and audio files.

So, in the FCP Browser I might have a 10 minute m2v with associated (separate) audio file. I want to be able to edit that clip (in the viewer) but with the associated audio. Is there any way to link the files together at this point so the edits can be made (in/out pts etc and then put on timeline).

I can obviously add all the files (vid/aud) to the timeline but I’d have to render it to view and then edit afterwards.

Sorry I’m new but if anyone has any guidance it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Drag them to the timeline.
    Video over audio.

Drag them back to the browser. Now sync’d and a single clip.
