    Hello there,

Can someone explain to me (I bet it is a really simple thing to do) how to draw with a coloured pencil over the top of final cut pro movie footage. Imagine lots of squiggles or letters changing shape and moving as the movie footage moves. How on earth does one do this? I thought maybe you do it separately with a frame capture programme such as framethief. I just have footage of someone talking and I want drawn words to be coming out of their mouth as they are talking. Please help! Many thanks.

You would do this in Motion, not Final Cut Pro. You can do some basic painting and strokes there.

    Hi there,
Can you tell me which programme ‘motion’ is please? Also would I draw the text on a piece of paper scan it manipulate it in photoshop and then put it into motion or what. If I know what the programme is I will learn how to use it and then maybe work out how to do this. Thank you.
