Newbie help w/ Vegas: How to “lock” tracks (change video but not audio)?
Newbie to Vegas, just wondering how to “lock” a track so it does not change when edits are made? Let’s say I want to change/cut video but NOT the audio. How is that done in Vegas?

You could “Ungroup” them (select the video and press “U”) but you’ll run a greater risk of getting them out of sync. You could press the “Ignore Event Grouping” button which, essentially, does the same thing but does not actually ungroup them. You could right-click the audio, choose “Switches” and then “Lock” and it cannot be changed (or moved) until unlocked.
