    Hi All,

I have several paths with sweeps animated in a similar way. Is it possible to copy keyframes from one layer and paste to another?
Sorry for the newbie question but I can’t find this info anywhere else. I’m a long time After Effects user still trying to get used to this interface.

    thanks ahead of time.

In the Timeline window, selectpress Ctrl and drag the attribute(Position, Rotation etc) and drop it on another object, keyframes & sequences will be copied. If you only want the keyframes copied, use the same method, but only the keyframes(not the sequences). Maybe ther

Sorry, I meant select the the attributes or keyframes you want to copy. Then, press the Ctrl-key and drag to make a copy.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I can’t seem to get this to work. I’m on a G5 with a standard full keyboard running OS 10.4.8 (in case that makes a difference). The only modifier key that seems to have any effect is Shift, which allows me to move the keyframes to a similar attribute on another layer, but I can’t make copies of the keyframes.
    Help!?!

It really should work. I have the same hardware configuration as you. Well, here is another method(R9):
    1. Say you have animated the object along the x-axis. Selected it in the Object Manager and then select the Coordinates Tab in the Attributes manager.
    2. Right-click(or press the command key) on the P.X letters and choose Animation > Copy Track.
    3. Right click on one of the other object

    Renderwise,

thanks so much for hanging in there with me.
I tried copying from the Attributes manager. When I paste to the target it only pastes the current value, not key frames.
I’ve contacted Maxon support and they recommend the same action as your original post. I’m starting to think there may be something wrong with my setup/application. If I learn anything else, I’ll post it.
I now have a new appreciation for After Effect’s elegance in handling keyframes.

I finally figured it out. One is hardware, it seems my left CTRL key isn’t working, only my right CTRL key functions. Also to make copies use SHIFT + CTRL + drag.

    thanks,
    Morris
