newbie c4d :-\ text issue
i would like to know if any one here could tell me how to add text to an object.
i did some text in photoshop, imported it into c4d, and loaded it as a texture. the object just turned black.
so tell me how do i add text?? -

You should try loading your text ‘texture’ into the Luminance channel of the shaders menu.
If it’s coloured text and you want to layer it onto a different coloured background of your object, try using your text in the Alpha channel of the shader options. Just do a white text on a black background in Photoshop – you can invert the Alpha within Cinema if you get it the wrong way round (as I frequently do!)
