Hi, I’m a professional audio engineer who’s just starting to dabble in video and motion graphics. I know there is a lot of people who don’t like FCPX because of it’s current limitations but i think it will be perfect for me as i’m sure the software will get better in time and since i’m a beginner, i can grow along with the software.

One question i do have is to do with audio sample rates. I have pretty big sound effects library that is in 320bit 44.1K mp3 format. I know most video programs work in 48k, so would it be worth my time to convert the whole library to a 48k sample rate? Or will FCPX accept the 44.1K files and dither appropriately to 48K in the final product?

    Thanks, Mark
