Harry, What are you demo are you referring to here? I’d be very interested in these results. The Canon and Fuji HD lenses are so much more expensive than the SD lenses. The picture I get with my SD lenses on my HD cameras is beautiful. I have trouble imagining how much better it can look. Please keep me keep me informed. Thank you so much.

We have a Sony DSR-500 2/3″ 16×9 camera with a $10K lens on it. When we install the lens from our F-900, it is an amazing difference. SO, when someone says that the glass doesn’t make much of a difference, I ask that they take their rig to someone who has an HD lens and a good monitor and see for them selves.

May 2, 2007 at 9:39 amYes I heard today that the price for the 2/3″ will be quite low, but I assume that doesn’t include a VF. Maybe sales pressure from Panasonic and (down the track) Grass Valley have forced the price down.

It will include 2′ BW VF.
I have to say with that block inside,it might be a direct competition to HDCAM 900R….but does not record 24 frames. -

May 2, 2007 at 9:08 pmThat won’t be a serious problem for us PAL 25P users but I can see it’s an issue for the 24P players up north.
