New word filter?
I’ve never had issues before, but suddenly yesterday a post of mine was stopped for moderation. I had used a naughty word: “cialis”! However, I hadn’t. The word was “specialist”… Then today I had a post stopped for moderation because it had the word, “crack” in it. Crack? Is there that much spam for getting crack on the forums?
Now, I’m guessing this post is about to get the same treatement, but I just wanted to say you might want to check on how rigidly our spam filter deals with words like specialist and you also might rethink some of the vocabulary it blocks. Or, at least fix it so people who’ve been constant posters don’t have to worry about it.– The Great Szalam

Crack is in the filter because people talk about getting “crack” software, or a cracked version, etc.
Cialis is at the heart of specialist, so that is what happened there.
Sorry for the inconvenience but we are not big on software piracy here, nor in pushing medication for erectile dysfunction.

I figured on the cialis part, but I hadn’t considered the illegal software part. I’m not big on that either. I’ll have to find synonyms for some words now.

That said, it turns out the name “liver pills” is frowned upon elsewhere.
[The FTC’s] ruling last week not only forbade Carter Products to use the word “liver” in the name of its pills, but told Carter’s to stop claiming that its pills are specific remedies for conditions in which an individual feels “down-and-out, blue, down-in-the-dumps, worn out, sunk, logy, depressed, sluggish, allin, listless, mean, low, cross, tired, stuffy, heavy, miserable, sour, grouchy, irritable, cranky, peevish, fagged out, dull, sullen, what’s-the-use, bogged down, grumpy, run down or gloomy.”
The FTC left one door open. Carter’s can still recommend its pills for such miseries to the extent that any of them can be temporarily relieved by an evacuation of the bowels.
So there you go.
As COWs, we eat a lot of roughage, and so tend not to need a lot of help in this department. Quite the contrary.

That explains Carters Pills, liver or whole body. I`ve never seen Carters that were silver coated though.

You all should know, that we now use the spelling specialest – like “you are the specialest person I know.”
Conan has a good sketch on his 2nd episode of his 3rd show in which he asked about certain words and their ability to be used on tv. I won’t post a link but it was pretty funny.
