I’ve just installed Resolve in a new mac and I’m really happy with the results so far. Here is my configuration and benchmarks in case anybody find them useful.

    Mac Pro 2010 2 x 2.66 Ghz 6-Core Intel Xeon
    12 Gb Ram
Raid 0 internal 3tb, 3 disk caviar black, 360MB/s Read 350MB/s Write according to Blackmagic Speed Test
NVidia 120 to drive the monitors
NVidia 265 flashed for mac, OSX sees it as a 285, and is way cheaper while I wait for the new 4000.
    Decklink HD Extreme 3D
    Hdlink Pro Displayport
    DreamColor
    Wave
    Wacom
    Ultrascope

Grading Proress material I get 25 fps with 10 nodes including 2 heavy blurs 2 key qualifiers and 3 or 4 windows!!!, adding more goes down to 21 fps.

I have already graded two 30 minutes episodes of a sitcom, and with simple grades, 2 or 3 nodes maximum, I’m rendering faster than realtime at 30fps.

I’m looking for a gaming trackball with configurable buttons to complement the Wave, in case anybody has any suggestions.

    hello
I read your post a few days ago and was hoping get a thread going because I am about to build an almost identical home setup and want feedback and setting advice. The type of grading work you do is broadcast or film as well and any config advice you might have or where you built it out from (b&h??).
    cheers

Hi Sean, i built the system myself, everything is standard exceptfor the 265 that I bought flashed for mac from eBay.
I do mostly broadcast work, at the moment I am grading a sitcom that starts tomorrow in the spanish tv. In fact the first two episodes are graded in Color and I changed halfway to Resolve, never used it before but I found it pretty easy to pick-up, I had some problems with the conform, not as transparent as sending an XML from Fcp to Color.
