New upgrade to Premiere Pro when?
Posted by Frank Cervarich on March 1, 2012 at 5:09 pmSome months back someone who seemed to know what he was talking about mentioned that Adobe was coming out with an upgrade to Premiere Pro in the not too distant future. Any rumbles about when that might come about? Thanks.

I think this release has the potential to be a game-changer. Adobe has said that they want Premiere Pro to be the workhorse of the industry, and they’ve been getting a lot of good feedback and requests from the FCP refugees that will help them move in that direction if they’re listening to it and taking it seriously. The acquisition of Iridas makes me think that they are…

Now there’s a bold statement. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know it will be out by NAB. Still, as someone long subject to Apple’s silences on things crucial to my business, I appreciate the nugget.
