I am wondering when there will be a new patch for pI3 that will allow me to import DV AVI files PS: I have tried the other ways but they just messed up my pc

Converting a DV AVI into a non-DV AVI “messed up” your PC?

the Panasonic DV codec is a free one. Do a websearch for “Panasonic DV codec” and you’ll find several sites with this codec and installation instructions. Note that some users have reported that the Panasonic DV codec causes problems with other codecs on their system.
Im saying that is a bad thing to do ,because it made it so when I tried to export any type of video file other than AVI, it was corrupt
